Lisa Fabiano grew up in rural and suburban areas of southeastern Pennsylvania. At 23 she headed west, creating a new life in Colorado. She majored in Philosophy at UCCS and, in her mid-thirties, followed her long-held desire to learn painting and drawing. After many years of independent research and experimentation with color and materials she found her unique creative voice through oil painting.
Lisa describes her “artistic style” as color-centric abstraction with philosophical, psychological, and metaphysical undertones. She is most interested in how we navigate and understand the material world and human consciousness. She is dedicated to oil painting, although works with all materials and mediums that suit her creative needs at any given time.
For over 15 years, Lisa’s paintings, drawings, and collages have been exhibited in Colorado galleries and other venues, including at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center in 2018 - 2020 (Deco Lounge and Museum Shop).
